The set of 159 genes with pronounced NBS motif was selected from our
database
and protein sequences were aligned
based only on NBS domain using CLUSTALW. Three genes (AT3g25510, AT4g19500 and AT4g36140)
have been dissected into sub-sequences because of duplication of the NBS domain.
The tree shown above was calculated using a distance matrix using
CLUSTALW, with bootstrap results indicated at nodes, calculated from 1000
iterations. Branch lengths are proportional to genetic distance, based on
amino acid substitutions.
Known resistance genes are indicated in red text, with genes cloned from ecotypes that are not
Columbia in parentheses. EST Viewer was designed and implemented by Alexander Kozik and Garrick Ng.
